UPDATED: Interstate 68 Reopened At Flintstone

POLICE REPORT:

On Wednesday December 12, 2018 at 11:45 am, troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on eastbound Interstate I-68 near the 53 Mile Marker Flintstone, Allegany County, Maryland. 

Upon their arrival troopers discovered a single vehicle accident.  Troopers investigating the collision discovered the vehicle, a 2013 Chevy Sonic passenger vehicle had three occupants.  Eastbound Interstate I-68 was shut down and Trooper 5 was dispatched to the scene to transport the front seat passenger, Ceirra Price.  The driver, Jasmin Goldizen and rear passenger, Richard Davis was transported by EMS to Western Maryland Regional Health System by ambulance.  A Maryland State Police reconstruction specialist was dispatched to the scene to insist in the investigation.  Initial investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail. 

UPDATE:

Allegany County 911 tells us that eastbound Interstate 68 has been reopened to traffic as of 1:50 PM.

INITIAL REPORT:

According to Allegany County Emergency Management Services, a vehicle crash on Interstate 68 at the 52 mile marker east bound near Flintstone, has resulted in 3 patients being transported. The Interstate is closed at this time (12:20pm)
