This morning, Monday, April 29, 2019, a school safety employee was assaulted by a student at Eckhart School. The employee was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Law enforcement officials from the Allegany County Sheriff's Department are currently on-site handling the situation, and the student will also be disciplined in accordance with the school system's policy on student discipline.
