Incumbents ousted in Mineral County

The final numbers were not officially counted  until the early morning hours, but when the tallies were announced it showed two Mineral County incumbents defeated. Democrat incumbent County Commissioner Cindy Pyles was defeated by  Republican challenger candidate Jerry Whisner. Whisner received 6,310 votes compared to 4,372 for Pyles. In the Sheriffs race, Democrat incumbent Craig Fraley lost to Republican challenger Jeremy Taylor. Taylor garnering 5,721, with Fraley getting 4,978. Problems with some of the voting machines caused the delay.

    Thank god, this needed to happen a LONG time ago. This “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” agenda that had been in placein Mineral county govt. for several years now has finally come to and end!
