Investigation into Frostburg Police chase of all-terrain vehicles incident

 Information is being sought in connection with the identity of operators and passengers of a "group of all-terrain vehicles" who led Frostburg Police on a several block chase late Monday. The Cumberland Times News reports the incident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. when police received several calls concerning the ATVs that were reportedly being operated in a reckless manner on city streets.

Police encountered the ATVs in the area of Mountain Ridge High School and gave pursuit into the area of Cherry Lane just off Interstate 68 where the pursuit ended.

During the pursuit, the ATV "drivers performed various dangerous maneuvers such as turning off their lights, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, and attempting to disable a police vehicle by thowing road gravel up with their tires."
