JCPenney plans to hire 700 workers in its Maryland stores for the holiday season. Seasonal jobs include cashier, replenishment specialist, beauty consultants for Sephora inside JCPenney and others, the retailer said Wednesday. The department store chain is hiring nearly 40,000 people for its 875 stores this holiday season.
Hiring events will be held in all stores on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Managers will conduct in-person interviews and make on-the-spot offers, the company said. Applicants are asked to apply online at jcpcareers.com or at an applicant kiosk before the event.
Store workers are being offered flexible holiday scheduling and discounts on merchandise of up to 25 percent.
