Judges Throw Out Redistricting Lawsuit

A three-judge panel has thrown out a lawsuit against Maryland's congressional redistricting map. In a ruling made public on Friday, the court found that the plaintiffs have not satisfied their burden of proof . The plaintiffs have alleged the map diluted the black vote by not creating a third majority minority congressional district. The map was approved by the Maryland General Assembly in October.
