July Means Higher MD Gas and Lower VA Gas Prices

Gasoline prices will begin rising in Maryland next month, and dropping in Virginia the same day. According to AAA Mid-Atlantic, fuel tax laws go into effect in two weeks, with the cost of gasoline in Maryland increasing by over 3.5 cents per gallon. Virginia's pump prices will likely drop by nearly six cents per gallon that same day when it will officially sever its long-time reliance on the flat state fuel excise tax.
