Justice Announces Start Date for WV Public Schools

July 9th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

During his COVID-19 press briefing Wednesday, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced the school start date would be moved back to September 8th.  Although, in his words, the Mountain State is “ready to go back to school today”, Governor Justice acknowledged that given the current Coronavirus spikes in West Virginia and across the nation- it will be ill advised to consider opening schools next month…

So he just required masks for West Virginians, got a huge grant from pandemic relief funds for his businesses (although he is a billionaire), COVID rates are rising in the state, and he thinks kids will return to school under circumstances like this? Just imagine teaching 2nd grade. How do you keep 25 students 6 feet apart all day. You’re lucky if you make it through the day without a student vomiting. You are coughed and sneezed on all day. This is just absolutely impossible to accomplish. Plus, no parent would want to jeopardize the safety of their child.

Translation: I love Trump because I am a coal billionaire and Trump is bringing back the coal industry. Which he’s not.

Great Job Govenor Justice. Here’s a suggestion, they teach outside. If they can afford tent cities for everything else, why not pitch a tent instead of a hissy fit?
