A Keyser man was arrested on a drunken driving charge and his passenger on an outstanding warrant from Allegany County in a traffic stop late Thursday by the Keyser Police Department. Raymond R. Mellon II, 21, was charged with first-offense driving under the influence in the 9:30 p.m. stop on Armstrong Street. The Cumberland Times News reports Brandon Lee Kausky, 21, was arrested as a fugitive from justice due to a bench warrant on file in Allegany County for failure to appear in court, police said.
Both men were processed for arrest by Keyser Police before being taken to the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta, pending hearings before a Mineral County magistrate.
