Keyser man assaulted by intruder

The Cumberland Times News reports a Keyser man was assaulted early Thursday after he found an intruder inside his South Main Street residence. According to Keyser Police, the suspect reportedly fled after grappling with the victim, who was kicked in the arm and chest during the 3 a.m. incident. Police said the suspect was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans when he was seen running from the residence in the 500 block of South Main Street. The suspect, a white man, was not located when Keyser Police and the Mineral County Sheriff's Department searched the area. Investigators believe the suspect gained entry through a bathroom window. The victim was on the second floor of his residence when he reportedly heard noises downstairs and discovered the intruder.  Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Keyser Police at 304-788-1311.
