The Cumberland Times News reports Luke McKenzie was named director of the Mineral County Office of Emergency Management during a Tuesday county commission meeting. McKenzie will replace Bill Hentosh, who officially retired in July. He'll begin work Monday on a part-time, probationary basis alongside Hentosh and begin working full time Nov. 16. McKenzie will be evaluated along the way and if all goes well during his final evaluation in June he will receive a pay raise.
