Landslide Will Keep Tourist Trains From Frostburg Until Summer

It’s been an anything but routine start to the job for Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Superintendent John Garner having to deal with- among other things- a landslide. Garner began his duties as superintendent just a few weeks ago, taking over for Michael Gresham who resigned. Track damage from a landslide believed to be mine-related will keep the tourist trains from reaching their Frostburg destination until summer. Garner tells WCBC News that they are looking not to reconnect into Frostburg July at the earliest.  Despite this setback, Garner says there will still be daily commutes beginning next month…
