Legal Fees Start to Pile Up for Board of Education

The Cumberland Times News reported this week that- just  a month and a half into the new year- and the  Allegany County Board of Education is looking at close to $3,000 in legal fees related to the Wayne Foote case. The previous board, in late December, took action requesting that the state remove Foote for misconduct and alleged inappropriate behavior and comments. Board President Robert Farrell tells WCBC News that the previous board- which in addition to Foote- consisted of Tammy Fraley, Nick Hadley, Laurie Marchini and Sara Beth Bittinger-  chose to utilize the services of several lawyers in what he calls a misguided effort to oust Foote from his position.     I stated before that the taxpayer s should not have foot the legal bill s for this type of behavior,if Farrell had known this was going on ,he should havestepped up to the plate and corrected the problem,you cant treat your co workers,men or women with such disrespect it seem s amigo Farrell may be a little misguided .i hope the state board will make a fair and honest decision,the taxpayers need to watch the B.O.E to make sure it is run fairly,honestly,and respectfully for the benefit of everybody.

      > Yeah, well, good luck with that. Keep in mind Mr. Farrell also has a suit against the board, and Dr. Bohn wants special benefits for chiropractors (of which he is one). Run fairly? Again, good luck.
