Theft/CDS/Warrant Arrest
On 09/24/16 at approximately 2:27 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Park Street for a shoplifting complaint. Police contacted a store manager who observed Dawn Melissa Largent concealing items in her backpack. Police contacted Largent and located several items on her person. While officers were speaking with Largent she attempted to dispose of CDS that was later identified as Morphine, a schedule II narcotic. It was also learned Largent had two active bench warrants for her arrest. Both bench warrants were for Failure to Appear for court dates on August 16, 2016 and again on August 30, 2016. Largent was taken to a District Court Commissioner where she was held on a total of $9500 bond. She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center pending her next court appearance.
