On Friday, 01/23/2015, members of the C3I Warrant/Fugitive Unit arrested 49 year old Gregory Allen Lincoln Sr, of Cumberland, after a warrant charging him with 2nd Degree Rape, 2nd Degree Assault, Kidnapping a Child Under the Age of 16, and False Imprisonment had been issued.
The arrest is the result of a joint investigation by the Cumberland Police, the Allegany County Department of Social Services-Child Protective Services, and the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) into allegations that Lincoln had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a 13 year old Cumberland girl during October 2014 at a private residence in Cumberland.
Through interviews with the victim and other witnesses, C3I Investigators gathered enough information to confirm the victim’s statement, and obtained the warrant for Lincoln’s arrest.
Lincoln, a registered sex offender, was taken before the District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next court appearance.
