Linda Martin tells WCBC News that her group of parents continues to explore all options as the opening of school approaches. Martin and other parents have filed an appeal with the Maryland Board of Education as they seek to overturn the Allegany County School Board decision to discontinue the program allowing middle school students to attend school in nearby Hancock in Washington County. Martin says the group must decide before the first day of school on August 24.
