Cumberland Mayor Brian Grim tells WCBC News there has been little recent progress in efforts to reopen the Washington Street Bridge, but says a meeting with CSX next month could help with achieving solutions…
Bridges on the West Side have been in declining condition in recent years, and CSX did some repair work to the Washington Street span several weeks ago. Unfortunately, the city and railroad have been unable to connect on obtaining the necessary engineering data, so the bridge remains closed to traffic.
