This will draw even more folks from PA to do the jobs the locals are too lame to do. Where else will people be able to buy a house for one year’s pay at minimum wage?

The economy is a living “organism” in many ways. Just like a scale, when you make a change on one side it is reflected on the other. When the government says “Everyone must be paid $15/hour”, companies will increasingly turn to robotic automation (who aren’t required to be paid $15/hour) and downsize their human workforce. Have you been to Wal-Mart recently? Notice the increase in human-free checkout?

Until the automation is fully ramped up, we’ll see prices of the essentials rise as a direct reflection, small businesses close under the pressure and unemployment go up. Just my $.02.
