Local Church Supports Relief in New York

A trailer load of items was delivered to Staten Island, NY, on Sunday as a result of the  outpouring of the local  community when New Venutre Christian Church accepted donations on Saturday, November 3rd .

Additional items are needed. The Church will be accepting donations at the LaVale Walmart from 3-7pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 7-9 for the relief effort in New York for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Items needed for the relief project are cleaning supplies, bleach, dust masks, mops, buckets, dust pans, flashlights and batteries, generators, shovels, big heavy duty garbage bags, push brooms, crow bars, socks, underwear, work boots and gloves.

Cash donations are also being accepted if someone is unable to supply a particular item.  A team from the church will be purchasing necessary items to complete the trailer load.
