Independence Day has always been associated with communities having fireworks displays. This year is no different, although a forecast of scattered showers and thunderstorms may play havoc with the events.
Wednesday evening, two displays are scheduled at 9:30, at the Westmar Middle School ballfield, and at Broadford Lake Park, set off by the town of Oakland.
Thursday has displays at Cumberland's Constitution Park, Rocky Gap State Park, Potomac State Collge, in Keyser, Deep Creek Lake, Before Riverfront Park, and Petersburg.
Moorefield will set off their dispaly on Saturday evening.
Fireworks usually start between 9:30 and 9:45 PM.
