On September 23rd, 2017 officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to Fort Ave for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
While enroute, officers learned that the operator had fled the scene on foot. After a brief search, the subject, Michael Robert Buskirk, age 27 of Lonaconing MD, was located a short distance away.
Once he was transported back to the scene, he began to cause a disturbance, arguing with officers. He was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing and Hindering, and Resisting Arrest, along with several other traffic charges.
He was taken before the District Court Commissioner was released on his personal recognizance.
