Maryland Lottery players won or claimed nearly $24.4 in prizes from Jan. 5-12, including two $100,000 scratch-off wins in Ellicott City and Leonardtown and two third-tier Powerball wins of $50,000, one of which is unclaimed. The unclaimed Powerball prize came on a ticket purchased in Silver Spring.

In all, 27 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or claimed in the seven days ending Jan. 12, including 19 scratch-offs and eight jackpot, daily draw and monitor game tickets. Here is the weekly roundup:

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets by scanning them at any Lottery retailer or with the Lottery’s mobile apps. Draw game winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes. For scratch-off games, winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date to claim prizes, with last claim dates published in the scratch-off section of mdlottery.com.
