Mall Disturbance Yields Two Arrests

Just before midnight Saturday night, a Cumberland Police officer observed a large disturbance on Baltimore Street in the downtown area.

As officers were trying to break up the disturbance Andrew Cory Fitzwater continued to yell after being told to stop. While officers were arresting Fitzwater, Jason Dylan Roager began causing a disturbance toward the officers and refused to leave. Roager was also placed under arrest.

Fitzwater was taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was issued a criminal citation for Disorderly Conduct. Roager was also taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was issued criminal citations for Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order and Disorderly Conduct. Both were released pending trial in District Court.

Andrew Cory Fitzwater, age: 24, Cumberland, MD

Jason Dylan Roager, age: 23, Cumberland, MD

Charges: Fitzwater – Disorderly Conduct

Roager – Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order and Disorderly Conduct
