At approximately 10 PM Saturday evening, Cumberland Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Brookfield Avenue for an assault.
Upon arrival officers learned that Lucas Michael Peterson had allegedly assaulted a child in the residence. Officers observed injuries to the child consistent with the assault described.
Peterson was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and held without bond.
Arrested – Lucas Michael Peterson (38) Cumberland, MD
Charges – Child Abuse 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree
