The Embassy Theatre, 49 Baltimore St., will celebrate the accomplishment of local student Devon Loewendick in becoming the national marbles champion with a party for area citizens to celebrate and meet him. The party, for all age groups and their families, is free for the public on July 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. Refreshments and marble demonstrations under direction of Renee Truly, Loewendick’s mentor and trainer, will be available, along with music for dancing. “It is a great time to be proud of Devon’s accomplishment, and to share the Loewendick family’s joy with their son’s victory with a celebration,” said Embassy building owner Mark Baker.
