The Governor’s Marcellus Shale Commission’s latest meeting was held last week in Hagerstown- and Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine said the location was just the latest example of far western Maryland not being a priority for Governor Martin O’Malley. Valentine, a member of the committee that has been studying plans to extract natural gas from Marcellus shale in Allegany and Garrett counties, said that the initial commitment from Annapolis was to conduct all of the meetings in one of those two counties- and that pledge has not been honored…
