The future of tapping into Marcellus shale reserves was discussed in depth at Thursday night’s Mountain Maryland PACE reception in Annapolis. Delegate Wendell Beitzel says the state already has good environmental controls in place as natural gas reserves are available.
State senator George Edwards says while he understands the environmental concerns, he noted that there is risk involved in all new ventures.
