Marijuana Activists Arrested Outside Rep. ANdy Harris’ Office

Two activists protesting for the legalization of marijuana were arrested during a protest outside Maryland Representative Andy Harris' office earlier this week and according to a spokeswoman for Harris, the congressman was accosted and bruised his wrist in the incident.  Harris has long been a critic of marijuana decriminalization, including medical marijuana. In recent years, he attempted to fight the decriminalization of marijuana in the District of Columbia.  Adam Eidinger, an activist with Maryland Marijuana Justice, said two protesters–Kris Furnish of Salisbury and Rachel Donlan of Washington–were arrested. His group and DC Marijuana Justice tout legal marijuana as a weapon against the opioid crisis. He denied that anyone on his side touched Harris and said the primary goal of the protestors was to simply engage the congressman in a discussion on the issue…
