Wayne Harbaugh with BGE’s pricing division expects that the market price for natural gas will be going up to 10 to 20 percent soon after February first. Supplies of nature gas are not the problem, but the issue is the spike in demand which is only second highest since the winter of 2007. Recently, the same price increase are reflected in the oil and propane markets. In fact, propane shortages have been reported in some parts of the country, along with steep increases in the price for that fuel. Harbaugh has the dismal forecast…
