A bill requested by the Allegany County Commissioners to allow a portion of marriage license fees to be forwarded to the Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization has been withdrawn in both the House and Senate. Senator George Edwards told WCBC News this morning that the measure had been requested too late to have it assigned in the regular committee process. Edwards said the delegation found that the bill had not been the subject of a local hearing, so the decision was made to withdraw it in both the House and Senate.
