Maryland General Assembly Session Begins Today

The 90-day session of the Maryland General Assembly begins today in Annapolis. The 141 members of the Maryland House of Delegates are expected to re-elect Democrat Michael Busch of Anne Arundel County as House Speaker. The 47 members of the Maryland Senate are expected to re-elect Democrat Mike  Miller of Prince George's and Calvert Counties as Senate President. While Governor Martin O’Malley is not yet ready to reveal any specifics of his legislative priorities- transportation and energy will receive much of his focus over the next three months…
