Governor pleased with session results

The 90-day session of the Maryland General Assembly ended at midnight Monday- with Governor Larry Hogan proclaiming it a roaring success. WBAL reports that in the final hour of the session, lawmakers gave final approval to a version of a manufacturing tax credit that had been proposed by Hogan. That bill provides a 10-year income tax credit for companies that build factories in parts of Allegany, Dorchester, Garrett, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties and Baltimore City. The bill passed the House of Delegates unanimously and was approved in the Senate 46-1. Hogan praised lawmakers’ work when he spoke to reporters just after midnight…
