Maryland Health Exchange Opens Early

Apparently things have been going so smoothly, the state of Maryland was able to open its health exchange network a day early- accepting applications on Tuesday. Officials of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange confirmed the news early Tuesday morning.  Several officials, including Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer posted the news on Twitter.  Maryland Health Secretary Dr. Joshua Sharfstein says the gradual roll out of the exchange over the last few days has gone well enough to allow individual enrollments to begin early.
