Maryland Lt. Governor Asked About State’s Gun Laws

Maryland Lt. Governor Anthony. Brown, appearing on WBAL-TV, was asked about the state’s gun laws and whether they are strong enough to avoid the type of tragedy that occurred at a movie theatre in Colorado last Friday.  Twelve people died in the shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater during a showing of the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.  The shooting has brought calls for stricter gun laws from some politicians.  Brown, considered a virtual certainty to run for governor in two years, said that while Maryland’s gun laws could use some tweaking- overall he believes there are good standards in place…
