Maryland One of Four to Decide Same Sex Marriage in November

September 26th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

Maryland is one of four states looking for the voters to decide the issue of legalizing same sex marriage this November joining Maine, Minnesota and Washington. It's an issue that Governor Martin O'Malley got behind early in his second term and made it a legislative priority in this years General Assembly session- and signing it into law. Ooponents however quickly gatheres the necessary signatures to force the issue to a referendum ballot question. A common theme duri8ng his many appearances in supposrt of same sex marriage has been that he believes Marylanders will approve the measure simply because it's the fair this to do.
