Maryland Senate President Thinks Marijuana Legalization is Inevitable

Maryland Senate President Mike Miller has said he thinks it inevitable that Maryland will take the next step and legalize marijuana. Governor Martin O’Malley says looking at how the process works in the states that have already taken that step will help Maryland decide. If revenue stream is used an indicator then it could prove a major shot in the arm. As Colorado saw its first sales of legal Marijuana earlier this year, it has exceeded original projections in tax revenue in 2014, reaching $98 million. While the tax money could do a lot of good, it has also created a new set of problems for small business owners in legalization states.  Politico reporter Bryon Tau talked with WBAL News about some of the early obstacles particularly concerning the federal governments regulations pertaining to banking.
