Maryland State Police Investigating Burglary

On Monday, at approximately 3:12AM Troopers were dispatched to an address on Harvest Drive, Bel Air, Md for a burglary in progress. It was learned that the home owner walked into the living room of this residence and observed a male standing in his living room with a flash light. The home owner chased the suspect down through his basement and out an open garage door. The victim was unable to keep chase with the suspect. It was learned that cash was taken from a purse and the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s house keys were also taken from his residence. The victim described the suspect as a male wearing black shorts and a black shirt. A search of the area was conducted by police along with police K-9 unit, with negative results.

Troopers cleared the scene and were dispatched to an address on Acorn Court, Bel Air, Md a short time later for a subject breaking into a vehicle. Troopers along with Sheriff Office units responded to the scene. It was later learned that the victim was exiting his residence and observed a white male wearing black shorts was in his vehicle. The victim chased the suspect out N Bel Air Drive and later lost the suspect. It was learned that nothing was taken from the victims vehicle. Again a search of the area was conducted by police and police K-9 unit, but with negative results.
