Reported Friday by WBAL News, Maryland's unemployment rate increased two-tenths of a percent in in the month of June to 6.9%. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Maryland lost 11,000 jobs last month. Much of the reported losses in June came in the form of educational services and health care jobs.
