Rolling Mill residents vowing not to sell

A capacity crowd on hand Tuesday night for the Cumberland Mayor and City Council meeting- and once again the theme centered around the controversial Maryland Avenue Revitalization Project. That project was developed by the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation and is designed to purchase and demolish approximately 60 houses in the Rolling Mill area with an eye toward commercial development opportunities. While many property owners have already agreed to deals, about a dozen are holding out. With resident Woodrow Gordon acting as the groups spokesman, the message was clear- there is no intent to sell now or in the future…
