McCoy tapped as new executive director for CUW

The Board of Directors of County United Way are pleased to announce that Juli McCoy has been selected to serve as the new Executive Director, taking over after Mary Beth Pirolozzi became the Register of Wills.

 

Ms. McCoy has been with United Way for three years as the Finance Manager.  She has also taken on the duties of campaign development and chairing the Young Leaders initiative. Prior to that she was with the Greater Cumberland Committee for 13 years, advancing from Executive Assistant to Assistant Director.  

 

McCoy said, “I am thrilled to be offered the position.  I look forward to working with the volunteers on this new journey for United Way.”

 

Betsey Hurwitz-Schwab, CUW Board Chair said, “We are excited for Juli to move up in the agency and are eager to hear the new ideas she will bring.  Through her work with the Greater Cumberland Committee and United Way, she already has connections in all four counties and we are looking towards her capitalizing on those connections.” WCBC News has confirmed that one of those who applied for the position was Cumberland Mayor Brian Grim.  County United Way serves Allegany, Garrett, Hampshire and Mineral Counties.

 

McCoy will officially start her position on November 1.
