Even if he fails to win in next years republican primary for Maryland House of Delegates 1C seat- Allegany County Commissioner Mike Mckay tells WCBC that he won’t consider jumping back into the county commissioners race. Appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” on the morning following his campaign announcement McKay said he would have the option of filing to run as an independent candidate for commissioner if he were defeated in the 1C primary- but he has no plans to do that.
