McKay Says Bill Is Another Attack On Natural Resources

During this year’s session of the Maryland General Assembly, lawmakers in both houses voted overwhelming to create a “Climate Change Panel”.  The law will create a 22-member commission to advise the governor and legislators on climate change issues. According to the official language in the bill, the purpose of the Commission is to advise the Governor and General Assembly on ways to mitigate the causes of, prepare for, and adapt to the consequences of climate change. The bill was not well received by the District One Delegation. Delegate 1C representative Mike McKay calls it another attack on natural resources…
