1C Delegate Mike Mckay reports on his facebook page that the Maryland Department of General Services has approved Parts I and II of the facility plans for the new Cumberland barrack and is moving into the architectural design and engineering phases. They will be doubling the square footage of the barrack (currently 5,968 to 12,158). Construction beginning July of 2018. Once the new facility is built, the old barrack will be raised.
