MD Attorney General Has A Plan To Provide Inmates With Tablets

August 8th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler says his plan to provide every inmate in Maryland with an Android tablet computer could go a long way toward reducing recidivism among inmates who have a better-than-even chance of winding up back in jail soon after they get out. Gansler says the tablets would provide inmates an easier path to earning a GED or other education certificate while they're still locked up. Gansler says the tablets could help the state save "enormous amounts of money" that are currently spent dealing with recidivist criminals.
