March 5th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Governor Larry Hogan provided Marylanders with an update on the Coronavirus Wednesday at a Board of Public Works meeting. Hogan said 11 Maryland residents are being tested for the Coronavirus and pending results. Altogether, 21 state patients have been tested and 10 have come back negative. Thus far, there have been no positive Coronavirus test results in Maryland. During the update Hogan announced emergency legislation that would allow him to use up to $50 million from the state's rainy day fund to respond to the novel Coronavirus. That's in addition to an expected $10 million request the governor is expected to make in a supplemental budget issued later this week. The Maryland Emergency Management Agency is raising its activation level to "Enhanced," freeing up additional state resources..
