Md. Reports 15th Case Of Meningitis Linked To Shot

Maryland health officials  and the Centers for Disease Control now say there have been 15 cases of meningitis in the state believed to be linked to steroid injections for back pain. WBAL reports the revised numbers for Maryland and 11 other states was posted on the CDC website on Saturday afternoon. One person has died in Maryland. The medication, made by a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts, has been recalled. The toll nationwide has slowly been growing. The latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show  198 illnesses and 15 deaths in 12 states.
