The Maryland Department of the Environment reports receiving two applications from Allegany County concerns during the past month.
Journey Pet Services has applied for a permit to establish an animal crematorium on Laurel Hill Drive in Frostburg, while Vindex Energy Corporation has applied for a modification at its facility in the Barton area.
