MEDA Announces Economic Development Week

The Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) has announced Maryland’s first-ever Economic Development Week. To be held October 24-28, Economic Development Week will recognize the partnerships that create and retain jobs and encourage investment throughout the State of Maryland. Highlighting economic development’s significance to Maryland over the past 50 years, Laurie Boyer, President of MEDA, said Economic Development Week “aims to raise awareness of economic development and its importance across the state, while recognizing the impact that partnerships have had in increasing job growth and investment in Maryland.  Allegany County Commissioner President Mike McKay said that there will be a local involvement…
