Meeting Scheduled for Memorial Demolition

October 22nd, 2013 by WCBC Radio

Now that a firm has been selected to demolish the former Memorial Hospital,  neighborhood residents will have a chance to provide input and have questions answered about the process and the impact. Late last month, the Cumberland  mayor and City Council announced that Ritter & Paratore Contracting Inc. of Utica, N.Y., with a low bid of $1.5 million, has been selected to demolish Memorial l and adjacent medical buildings. City engineer John DiFonzo said a public meeting has been scheduled for next Tuesday night at Fort Hill High School, with neighbors invited. That meeting, to begin at 7 pm in the school’s auditorium, will have  representatives from Ritter & Paratore present.
