WBAL TV is reporting that a U.S. Naval Academy midshipman was among the six killed in a Amtrak train derailment in Philadelphia. The Naval Academy confirmed the midshipman was one of the passengers in the train. In a statement, they say he was on leave and enroute to their home of record. "The Brigade of Midshipman, staff and faculty were notified of the midshipman’s death this morning. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the identity of the midshipman is being withheld for 24 hours after next of kin notification," the Naval Academy said in a statement. The midshipman was Justin Zemser, 20, of Rockaway Beach, NY, ABC News tweeted his mother saying. The Academy is offering grief counseling to midshipmen, faculty and staff through chains of command, our chaplains, and the Midshipmen Development Center.
